WhatsApp adds an unread chats filter; the Communities feature has been spotted in the beta version
Other privacy features are also on the table.

WhatsApp has recently released a new tool that allows users to organise their chats in an extremely efficient manner. WhatsApp's latest unread chat filter displays all unread chats at the top so that the user does not miss an important message from someone. The official announcement about the feature was made last night. As of now, the feature is only available to WhatsApp users on Android. The feature will be available soon for iOS users as well.
To use the feature, simply open WhatsApp on your Android phone, tap on the search icon, and then tap on the unread chat icon. Following that, the most recent unread chats will appear at the top. Simply tap the 'x' next to the search icon to exit the screen. Not only that, but WhatsApp is also making changes to the overall interface.
Users will no longer be able to click on screenshots of photographs sent in 'view once' format. Aside from that, all users will now be able to leave a group chat silently. Only the group's administrator will be aware that someone has left the group. The meta-owned instant messaging company is also working on a quick window that will allow users to restore all deleted chats.

WhatsApp Communities feature
Not only are the features mentioned above being worked on, but WhatsApp is also working on the much-anticipated Communities features. The communities features will allow administrators to create a community by combining several groups. As of now, a small number of WhatsApp beta users have discovered the feature in the 2.22.19.3 version.
According to a screenshot shared by WABetaInfo, the community tab will replace the camera tab. Users will be able to add up to ten groups to a single community. Though there has been no confirmation of the feature's release for the stable version of WhatsApp. We anticipate seeing the feature in the stable version by the end of 2022.
