Tata Motors is pushing ahead with its plans to increase its electric vehicle portfolio. Only a week after introducing a new EV in India, the business has patented new names for its planned electric vehicles in the nation. Styzor, Bovita, Auroar, and Xiomara look to be part of Tata's projected range of ten electric car models in India by 2026. Surprisingly, several of them may be seen on the roads this year.

Tata Motors Registers New Names for Its Upcoming EV Cars

Tata Motors has applied to the trademark authorities to register four new names. Styzor, Bovita, Auroar, and Xiomara are their names. To be clear, it is unclear whether the corporation will utilize these names in its EV portfolio, since we may see Tata's upcoming IC engine vehicles using these names. However, there is a chance that Tata will utilize these for future electric vehicles.

Not much is known about these vehicles at this time. However, if we connect the dots, Tata should be able to base these vehicles on its recently unveiled Gen-2 and Gen-3 platforms. The business has even dubbed the two EV ideas that use these platforms at the time.

The Gen 2 platform was shown powering the Tata Curvv prototype electric car and will most likely be the platform of choice for the company's affordable EV products. The Gen 3 or Skateboard platform was shown on the Tata Avinya concept car and might power more powerful Tata electric vehicles.

Tata has also shown off an all-electric SUV named Sierra, in addition to the Curvv and Avinya ideas, all of which are anticipated to reach production and hit the market by 2025. However, it remains to be seen whether these cars will use the newly registered names or if totally new vehicles will be built on them in the coming years.

Tata Motors EV Lineup for India

Tata Motors has long had a foothold in India's electric vehicle market. The Tata Tigor EV, which went on sale last year, fulfilled the commute demands of numerous government agencies prior to its public distribution. With the goal of bringing such offerings to the broader public, the business is doubling down on automobiles with both new and old monikers that include an electric drivetrain.

By "old," we mean cars that have been seen in either a gasoline or diesel form. The Nexon EV is a prime example of this, having dominated the segment since its introduction earlier this year. Tata Motors followed up with the Nexon EV Max, which has a larger battery capacity and range for longer journeys. It is apparent that the firm has no intention of discontinuing its periodic EV rollout.
