POCO has announced the release of a new smartphone in India. The POCO C50 will be available in India soon. The device will be released as a successor to the POCO C31, which was released in India last year. Surprisingly, the POCO C40, which was released in global markets, was not released in India. The C50 will be available in India in November. The launch date, however, has not yet been announced.

POCO did reveal, however, that the phone will be released in the last week of November 2022. The device is marketed as a "complete package," promising "stark camera performance, immersive multimedia experience, long battery life with a sleek design, and much more." The POCO C50 will be released as the Xiaomi spin-off brand's new entry-level smartphone offering. The device's release date is currently unknown. POCO revealed that the phone will offer an all-around experience at a low price ahead of its launch, which is scheduled for the last week of November.

The company did not reveal the phone's design or any other details. It was, however, recently discovered on the Google Play Console, the IMEI database, and a few other certification websites. According to the listing on the Google Play Console website, the C50 could be a rebadged version of the Redmi A1+, which was released earlier this year in India. The codename snow was assigned to the C50 on the Google Play Supported Devices list. To those who are unaware, the codename also appears on the Redmi A1+, implying that the upcoming C50 could be a rebranded version of the budget Redmi phone.

The device was also discovered with the model number 220733SPI in the IMEI database. According to its Geekbench listing, the device is powered by a MediaTek Helio A22 processor, which is also found in the Redmi A1+.

If the phone is a rebadged Redmi A1+, it will most likely have a 6.52-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop notch on top. The phone will come with a 5000mAh battery and 10W charging support. On the back, it will also have a dual-camera setup. The device will almost certainly have an 8MP rear camera and a 2MP depth sensor. There will be a fingerprint scanner on the back of the vehicle. The phone is also expected to ship with Android 12 Go Edition. POCO is expected to release the phone with 64GB of internal storage. A microSD card slot will be available for memory expansion.
