Modern Love Mumbai: Chitrangda Singh Opens Up About Visiting Mumbai Locals For The First Time During The Shoot: "Very lively in the midst of the crowd"
Chitrangda was also appreciated for her portrayal of 'Latika,' a role model for modern-day women.
Chitrangda Singh, who played the simple yet strong 'Latika' in Cutting Chai, part of the six-film OTT anthology, found filming 'Modern Love: Mumbai' to be a really special experience.
While 'Modern Love: Mumbai has received positive feedback from audiences and critics alike, Chitrangda has also been praised for her portrayal of 'Latika,' a character who inspires modern-day women to pursue their dreams and not lose sight of their needs and desires while juggling family responsibilities.
Though the actor has many special recollections from the set, one, in particular, stands out: her first time going on a local train, visiting Mumbai's CST station and admiring its heritage beauty. Given that Chitrangda is from Delhi, she has never experienced the craziness and thrill of a crowded train, and 'Modern Love' provided her with the opportunity to learn everything there is to know about traveling in Mumbai and explore locations she has never seen before.
"Being a Delhite, I never traveled by Mumbai local trains and since Mumbai is extremely close to my heart, shooting 'Modern Love' allowed me the chance to genuinely explore the city's lifeline — its local trains," Chitrangda said of her experience. My first ride on a Mumbai local was a thrilling experience in the midst of the chaos. It was also lovely to interact with the folks and listen to their stories along the way."
Following her success in 'Modern Love: Mumbai,' Chitrangda's next project is 'Gaslight,' a suspense drama starring Sara Ali Khan and Vikrant Massey.
