Maruti Suzuki has finally unveiled in India the CNG version of its renowned Swift hatchback car, the Maruti Suzuki Swift S-CNG. It is now the brand's ninth CNG-powered vehicle. The Swift CNG is available in two variants for the company: VXi and ZXi.

The Swift S-CNG VXi model has priced at Rs 7.77 lakh, while the ZXi model is priced at INR 8.45 lakh. The new Swift S-CNG is also available across the country for a monthly subscription fee starting at INR 16,499 per month.

Maruti Suzuki Swift S-CNG Features

The new Maruti Swift S-CNG is powered by a 1.2-liter K-series Dual Jet Dual VVT engine that produces 89PS at 6000rpm and 113Nm of torque at 4400rpm. The CNG engine produces 77PS of peak power and 98Nm of torque. The new hatchback is only available with a 5-speed manual transmission. The company claims that the CNG has a fuel mileage of 30.90km/kg.

The new Swift, like other Maruti Suzuki CNG vehicles, has dual interdependent Electronic Control Units and an intelligent injection system. This aims to provide the best air-fuel mixture possible during the fuel filling process. To avoid leakage or corrosion, the company uses stainless steel pipes and joints, as well as integrated wiring to prevent short-circuits.

The new 2022 Swift S-CNG receives no design upgrades over the current selling model. It has chrome accents on the grilles, ORVMs, indicators, and LED tail lights. It has alloy wheels and LED projector headlamps with DRLs. The Swift hatchback has a colored multi-information driver cluster, cruise control, SmartPlay Studio with infotainment display, and sporty front seats on the inside.

"The iconic sporty hatchback is now available with proven and tested company-fitted Maruti Suzuki S-CNG technology." "The Swift S-CNG is the right proposition for customers looking for a peppy yet economical city drive," he continued.

The 2022 Swift S-main CNG's competitors are the Hyundai Santro CNG, Tata Tiago iCNG, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios CNG, Tata Tigor iCNG, and Maruti's own WagonR CNG.
