iQOO is preparing to launch the Neo 7 5G in India. The company has already confirmed that the Neo 7 5G will be released in India on February 16. In India, the upcoming premium smartphone from iQOO is expected to cost around Rs 30,000. iQOO has begun revealing key phone specifications ahead of the launch. The most recent teaser reveals that the upcoming iQOO smartphone will be a rebadged Chinese Neo 7 SE.
The Neo 7 5G India variant will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC, according to iQOO. The same SoC can be found in China's Neo 7 SE 5G. The Neo 7 5G could be India's first smartphone with a Dimensity 8200 SoC. The company has also revealed some additional information about the phone. iQOO Neo 7 India Variant Specifications
In India, the iQOO Neo 7 5G will be released as the successor to the Neo 6 5G. The phone will be available in India on February 16. iQOO revealed ahead of the launch that the phone will be powered by a Dimensity 8200 SoC. The company has also confirmed that the phone will come with 120W fast charging. This is an improvement over the Neo 6 5G's support for 80W fast charging. The Neo 7 5G will include a full-size 3D Cooling System to keep heat under control.
Based on the teased specifications, it is safe to assume that the Chinese Neo 7 SE will be available in India as the Neo 7 5G.
The Neo 7 SE was launched in China for CNY 2099 (approximately Rs 25,200) for the base 8GB RAM variant with 128GB of internal storage. The phone's price in India is expected to start around Rs 30,000.
The Neo 7 India variant should have a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels for the price. The front camera will have a hole-punch cutout at the top. The screen has a 20:9 aspect ratio and a screen-to-body ratio of 93.11 percent. The Neo 7 supports 120Hz refresh rates, as expected.
The phone has a 5000mAh battery, which is an improvement over the 4700mAh cell found in the Neo 6. On the back, there is also a triple-camera setup. In China, the phone has a 64MP primary camera. It is supported by two 2MP sensors. The phone lacks an ultra-wide camera, which is a downgrade from the Neo 6 5G's 8MP sensor.
The fingerprint scanner is built into the display of the Neo 7 5G. Bluetooth 5.3, dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS, and other features are supported. The phone comes pre-installed with Android 13.
