Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 Movie Review
BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 is about an evil spirit. A family in Bhawanigarh, Rajasthan, was harassed by the spirit of Manjulika 18 years ago. Manjulika is trapped in a haveli by a tantric baba (Govind Namdeo). He then closes the door. Reet (Kiara Advani), a member of the same family, is currently studying. She's on her way back to Bhawanigarh to marry forcibly when she runs into Ruhaan (Kartik Aaryan). While travelling by bus, they get along quite well. Ruhaan insists on leaving the bus and attending a music festival. Meanwhile, the bus plunges into a gorge, killing all on board. As a result, Reet is presumed dead. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 Movie Review
At the same time, Reet realises that her future husband, Sagar, is in love with Reet's sister, Trisha. As a result, Reet decides not to inform her family that she is alive, hoping that this will aid in the marriage of Sagar and Trisha's sister. Reet approaches Ruhaan for assistance. Both travel to Bhawanigarh and seek refuge in the haveli, where Manjulika is trapped due to the abandonment of the mansion. Chota Pandit (Rajpal Yadav) notices the haveli's lights are turned on. He informs Reet's family of the situation.
They all arrive at the haveli. Reet flees, and Ruhaan confronts them. Ruhaan claims to be able to communicate with the dead. He claims to have spoken with Reet and that she wishes for the family to relocate to the haveli. He also claims that Reet wants Sagar and Trisha to marry. Ruhaan's ability to communicate with the dead quickly becomes known. He's been renamed Rooh Baba. Everything is going swimmingly. However, one day, Manjulika’s spirit gets released from the haveli’s room, leading to destruction. What happens next forms the rest of the film. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 Movie Review
Aakash Kaushik's story is both excellent and unusual. It masterfully blends the horror and comic quotients. The screenplay by Aakash Kaushik does the plot full justice. The writers pepper the story with some very impressive moments that keep the audience interested. The characters are also entertaining, which helps. The dialogues of Farhad Samji and Aakash Kaushik (along with Sparsh Khetarpal and Tasha Bhambra) raise the humour level.
Anees Bazmee's direction is outstanding. He had a difficult task ahead of him because the first instalment has a cult following. However, with his execution, he manages to steal the show. The story is a little mindless, but he handles it with panache, just like he did with his previous memorable films like NO ENTRY , WELCOME , and so on. He's known for his comedic abilities, and he doesn't disappoint. He is particularly skilled at horror. On the other hand, the film is released at the start of the second half. Fortunately, the film picks up nicely in the climax.
BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 kicks off with a bang. Ruhaan and Reet's appearance is amusing. The way Reet decides to fake her death is a little unconvincing, but it works well. Ruhaan's first encounter with Reet's family is memorable. It's hilarious how Ruhaan transforms into Rooh Baba. Surprisingly, Manjulika's flashback story is shown in the first half. Typically, such a track is highlighted in the second half. The suspense at the interval and in the flashback is fantastic. After the intermission, the film slows down and picks up when Manjulika slaps Pandit (Sanjay Mishra). Another unexpected twist awaits in the finale. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 Movie Review

When it comes to performances, Kartik Aaryan is on fire. He has his own style of expressing humour, which works well. Kiara Advani is stunning and gives an excellent performance. She plays an important role and does it well. Tabu is a pleasant surprise, delivering one of her most accomplished performances to date.
Rajesh Sharma and Samarth Chauhan both leave an impression (Potlu, the kid). Rajpal Yadav and Sanjay Mishra are both amusing. Ashwini Kalsekar is doing fine. Amar Upadhyay and Milind Gunaji are unremarkable. Govind Namdeo is given limited authority. The actors who play Sagar and Reet are adequate.
The music is catchy. The title track is memorable. 'Ami Je Tomar' has a haunting feel to it. 'De Taali' and 'Hum Nashe Mein' are both acceptable. The background music by Sandeep Shirodkar is superb.
The cinematography by Manu Anand is superb. The production design by Rajat Poddar is very rich and adds to the horror. The costumes designed by Aki Narula for Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani are very glamorous. Rimple and Harpreet Narula's Tabu costumes are also noteworthy. The rest of Ankita Patel's costumes are fine.
Manohar Verma's action is devoid of gore. The sound design by Mandar Kulkarni adds to the impact. The VFX at Redchillies.vfx is excellent. Bunty Nagi's editing is effective.
Overall, BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 is a complete entertainer that works due to the excellent combination of horror and comedy. It is expected to take off quickly at the box office and become a smash hit. It may also become Kartik Aaryan's second Rs. 100 crore earner. Recommended! Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 Movie Review
