The Ather 450X is about to get a facelift, as a new facelift version of the electric scooter is expected to hit Indian markets tomorrow. The popular Ather e-scooter is expected to be relaunched with increased mileage on a single charge and several new features not found on the current model.

With this, Ather Energy hopes to compete with the growing number of electric scooters entering the Indian market as part of the country's ongoing EV revolution, which is ushering in a new class of vehicles.

As previously reported, the new Ather 450X may have a slightly different design than the current model. This time, we can also expect new features on the electric scooter. These are likely to be powered by the same electric motor as the current model, but with a larger battery to back it up.

With this, the Ather 450X could travel close to 150 kilometers on a single charge. If so, the Ather offering will be among the highest-rmileage electric scooters in India. Here's a closer look at the new Ather 450X's expected launch date, price, and other sales information.

Ather 450X Launch in India

Ather Energy's recent Twitter post gives a big hint about the Ather 450X's release date. While the company had previously refrained from making an official announcement about its new electric scooter despite multiple reports, it has now announced that the new Ather 450X will be unveiled on Tuesday, July 19.

The official poster for the Twitter post reads, "What can outrun an Ather 450X?" "Introducing the all-new Ather 450X." The official date for the unveiling is July 19, according to the schedule. So we can be confident that the wait for the facelift version of the Ather electric scooter will be over soon.

Ather 450X Expected Price in India

The current model of the Ather 450X costs Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom) in Bengaluru, while the same model costs around Rs 1.38 lakh in Delhi. Due to the lack of EV taxes, the on-road price of the electric scooter remains largely unchanged.

We can expect the new model to be slightly more expensive than this. With the larger battery, the price increase could range between Rs 10,000 and Rs 15,000. This will bring its ex-showroom price in Bengaluru to around Rs 1.60 lakh and Rs 1.48 lakh in Delhi. Of course, the precise pricing will not be revealed until tomorrow.

Ather 450X Expected Sale Date

While we will have to wait for official details on when the new Ather 450X will be available for purchase, it is likely that the company will not take long to deliver the electric scooters to buyers after its unveil tomorrow. Because the design is largely unchanged and Ather already has an established supply chain for its current EV models, the new Ather 450X should be available soon after its release.

The electric scooter should be available for purchase by the end of July or the first week of August. However, this will not be confirmed until Ather makes his official announcement tomorrow.

Ather 450X Expected Features

Here's everything you need to know about the new Ather 450X:

Larger Battery

According to rumors, the new Ather electric scooter will have a 3.66kWh Nickel Cobalt battery pack instead of the current model's 2.9kWh battery pack. On a full charge, this should increase the e-mileage scooter's to 146km, up from 116km on the current model.

Longer Mileage

As a result, the new Ather 450X's real-world mileage is expected to be around 120 kilometers. This should give the electric scooter an advantage over many of its market competitors.

The larger capacity of the battery is due to its larger size and weight of 19 kg. To accommodate this on the scooter, the company made minor changes to the design, which will now have a longer wheelbase and more kerb weight than the previous model.

Other Expected Features

Aside from these, we can expect the majority of the features to remain the same. This could include five riding modes - Warp, Sport, Ride, Eco, and Smart Eco - as well as a peak power of 6.4 kW. Because the electric motor is expected to be the same as in the previous model, acceleration should be around 0 to 40kmph in 3.3 seconds, and top speed may be limited to 80 kmph.

If Ather used the same infotainment panel, we can see a 7-inch LCD display for everything on the electric scooter. Navigation, incoming calls, and vehicle statistics will be among the data transmitted. Other features such as Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and reverse assist are also expected to be included. The charging times on the EV's larger battery may be different this time. Though it is certain to have a fast charging system, it may be able to charge from 0% to 80% in 3 hours and 35 minutes.
