Apple's 15-inch MacBook Air and a new 12-inch MacBook are expected to be launched in 2023.
MacBook Air

Apple just launched a new MacBook Air with an M2 processor. With an all-new design and updated internals, the company launched its most popular laptop. The new M2 MacBook Air's screen is also somewhat larger at 13.6 inches. A recent report indicates that a 15-inch MacBook Air will be released soon, only days after the unveiling at WWDC 2022.

According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple will release a 15-inch MacBook Air. In addition, the company may release a new 12-inch MacBook at the same time. Gurman also provided information on the M2 Pro and M2 Max processors. Let's take a closer look at the 15-inch MacBook Air and other variants that are expected to be released.

15-inch MacBook Air Launch Tipped

Early next year, Apple may launch a larger 15-inch MacBook Air. This would be the first MacBook Air with a 15-inch screen in 14 years. The 15-inch model will follow the same design language as the 13.6-inch model, according to Gurman. The 15-inch model will, of course, be wider due to the larger screen. We can expect the new M2 processor to be used in the 15-inch model as well.

Apple is also developing a 12-inch MacBook that will be released in late 2023 or early 2024. It's unclear whether this 12-inch laptop will be a high-end or low-end product at this time.

In 2015, Apple launched a 12-inch MacBook with a thin and light design. The tablet, on the other hand, was panned for its keyboard difficulties and poor performance. The 12-inch laptop also lacked a fan and had a limited number of ports.

Apple will release high-end MacBook Pro models with M2 Pro and M2 Max CPUs in 2022, according to Gurman. J414 and J416 are the codenames for the next 14-inch and 16-inch versions. In comparison to the existing models, which have 10 CPU cores and 32 GPU cores, the M2 Max processor will feature 12 GPU cores and up to 38 GPU cores.

Internally, Apple is also testing updated versions of the Mac mini and a redesigned Mac Pro. The new machines should be available soon.
