The AMD Ryzen Pro 7000 series was finally released, and it included three desktop and six laptop chipsets. AMD has delayed the launch for whatever reason, with the new Pro series arriving six months after the original Ryzen 7000 series in September 2022. The Pro series is normally released a few months after the main chipsets. However, the wait appears to be worthwhile because the Ryzen Pro 7000 series includes numerous cutting-edge enterprise features and capabilities. AMD Ryzen Pro 7000 Series Launched with AMD Zen4 Architecture

AMD has launched its business-focused Ryzen Pro 7000 series, which includes six laptops and three desktop chipsets. According to the manufacturer, these CPUs increase multitasking by 31% and provide 34% more energy life on a 66Wh battery. Additionally, AMD Ryzen AI Technology has been included in select models. The chipsets also include current multilayered security capabilities to safeguard corporate machines from the most sophisticated attackers.

AMD launched six laptop chipsets: three 7040HS series models for high performance and three 7040U series models for battery efficiency. Ryzen 5 Pro 7640HS, Ryzen 5 Pro 7640U, Ryzen 5 Pro 7540U, Ryzen 7 Pro 7840HS, Ryzen 7 Pro 7840U, and Ryzen 9 Pro 7940HS are among them.

As seen in the table above, the Ryzen 7000 Pro series laptop chipsets are divided into three types: Ryzen 5 Pro, Ryzen 7 Pro, and Ryzen 9 Pro. The entry-level Ryzen 5 Pro variants have clock speeds of up to 4.9GHz and 6 performance cores with 12 threads. They have a cache of 22MB. The Ryzen 7 Pro series has eight performance cores and sixteen threads. It has a clock speed of 5.1GHz and a cache of 24MB. The top-of-the-line Ryzen 9 Pro has the same specs but a clock speed of 5.2GHz.

In terms of desktop offerings, there are three models: Ryzen 9 Pro 7945, Ryzen 7 Pro 7745, and Ryzen 5 Pro 7645. These chipsets have 12, 8, and 6 performance cores, respectively, with up to 24 threads. They have a clock speed of up to 5.4GHz and a cache of up to 76MN. For the first time, AMD has integrated dedicated graphics into its Desktop solutions.

AMD has not stated when these new chipset-equipped laptops and desktops will be available. However, the business did show off the Lenovo Thinkpad Z13 and Z16 with Ryzen Pro 7000 series chipsets.
